What is Energy Leadership?

energy leadership modelOur world tends to define leaders, and therefore leadership, within the context of formally defined roles in corporations, small businesses, non-profit organizations, and political and community concerns. True leaders, however, are not confined to office walls, and are not limited to specific offices within those walls, but are found in families, groups, sports, education, health fields, and within all levels and roles in small and large organizations. In fact, "organization", as referred to in the Energy Leadership™ System, means two or more people in any walk of life who are working or communicating together for a similar goal or purpose.

Great leaders are not only able to motivate, inspire, and bring out greatness in others, but also, in themselves. This is why the Energy Leadership™ program is so important, not only to every business entity, but also to each of us, as leaders in, and of, our lives. The question isn't whether or not you are a leader, the question is... how well will you lead?

Anabolic and Catabolic Energy

For all practical purposes, there are two kinds of energy: anabolic and catabolic. Anabolic describes energy that is constructive, healing, and growth-oriented. Anabolic energy helps move you forward and achieve positive, successful results, and is useful in leading others in the same direction. Catabolic describes energy that is draining, destructive, and potentially very toxic to you, to your organization, and to all those around you.

The most successful leaders in life, those who can easily build an engaged and committed workforce, are those with high levels of anabolic energy. Those who lead using catabolic energy are, figuratively and literally, a dying breed. As humans, we are energy systems. Our system is self governed and directed by our thoughts. Our body seeks to maintain energy in the anabolic (healthy) range. However, every thought we have affects our system and catabolic (unhealthy) thoughts produce undesired results in our body as well as in our actions. While each thought has its own energetic value, our combined thoughts, beliefs, values and emotions create our level of consciousness or our E-Factor.

The Energy Leadership™ Assessment and what it Measures

The Energy Leadership™ Index assessment provides insights into how you show up in various aspects of your life as a leader. It measures your potential leadership ability by your level of consciousness – your awareness about who you are and what life is about. Research Results
by the Numbers

A blind research study conducted by iPEC Coaching asked 100 people who completed the Energy Leadership Index Assessment to rate themselves on 14 success indicators. Participants with an E-Factor of 3.0 (on a scale of 1-7) reported higher ratings on 14 of 14 success indicators, compared to participants who scored 2.5.

Participants reported:

  • 20% increase in financial success;
  • 10% increase in self-described leadership ability;
  • 15% greater satisfaction in the quality of interpersonal, social and intimate relations;
  • 12% greater feeling of engagement and excitement at work;
  • 14% more personal time and feeling of personal freedom;
  • 9% improvement in the quality and depth of communication at home and at work;
  • 6% increase in health and wellness;
  • 16% increase in productivity;
  • 17% improvement in time management and efficiency;
  • 12% greater feeling of purpose and spiritual connection;
  • 15% improvement in work-life balance; and
  • 20% increase in overall mental, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical energy.
